Check out this excellent write up on color trends for 2020 by Ritz Craft's very own corporate designer, Danielle Korek.
"Are you feeling blue? In 2020, that’s a great thing! Pantone, the universally accepted language of color that enables color-critical decisions through every stage of the workflow for brands and manufacturers, recently announced their 2020 color of the year “Classic Blue”. Likewise, global paint powerhouse, Sherwin Williams also unveiled their 2020 color of the year — “Naval”. There is no doubt that, since these two color giants are feeling blue, that the rest of the fashion-forward housing industry will follow suit. We will undoubtedly see blue used in all aspects of home selections, including exteriors, cabinet colors and home décor.
In previous years, neutrals reigned supreme — with white and grey dominating color palettes. This shift towards blue creates a perfect pivot point, as most shades of blue beautifully complement these neutral themes. The color swatches shown here from Sherwin Williams (left), and Pantone (right), showcase how the different shades of blue available for use in your color palettes. If you would like to discuss how we can incorporate blue tones in your next model home, please contact me! I’d love to discuss options with you."
